Description

The Spice Trade Tex-Mex Seasoning includes a variety of Mexican spices, like cumin, and chilis, along with additional spices like onion, garlic, and pepper. The term “Tex-Mex” was originally the short name for the Texas Mexican Railway. The line was extended over the Rio Grande and the Mexico–United States border and was commissioned in 1875. Tex-Mex cooking was created as a fusion of Spanish, Native American, Mexican and American cultures. Fajitas were “born” in the 1930’s in the ranches of Northern Mexico, where cowboys, known as vaqueros, grilled meats, normally skirt steaks, over open flames.
